Rolls-Royce reworked the Corniche for 1992 and presented it at the Detroit Auto Show in January. With the 1994 planned closing of Mulliner Park Ward, this version is considered to be the last of the Corniche series, as the Corniche IV was widely regarded as the last coachbuilt example produced by Rolls-Royce with their final run in 1995.
As a Corniche IV, it came with many improvements over its predecessor, such as increased horsepower, glass rear window, dual front airbags, four-speed transmission, complete power top with automatic latches and adaptive suspension; all with a base MSRP over $285,000 when it was new.
Approximately 220 Corniche IV’s are reported built from 1992 to 1995 making this both incredibly rare and desirable. This Corniche IV is finished in the rare combination of Light Oyster with Mushroom leather interior and Parchment top and piping. The car is reported as being “gorgeous inside and out” with less than 20,000 miles on the odometer stated as original. The Rolls-Royce has been well cared for and serviced from day-one and its service records are included.
Among the features are a convertible top boot, leather carry case, all tools, sheepskin floor mats, original stereo as well as the installed modern unit, fully-operated soft-top, air conditioning, fabulous burl wood interior trim elements, two key sets, books and all of the luxury and convenience commensurate with such an internationally recognized Rolls-Royce model; this one is “nearly flawless.”
