Description

"The Corniche was manufactured by Rolls-Royce between 1971 and 1996 in both coupé and convertible forms. Assembled and finished by Mulliner Park Ward in London, the Corniche was a continuation of the 1965 Silver Shadow and 1967 Drophead Coupé and, in 1971, the Corniche name was applied. The Corniche received a mild restyling in the spring of 1977. The changes included alloy and rubber bumpers, aluminium radiator, oil cooler and a bi-level air conditioning system. It was also sold as a Bentley and from 1984 would be known as a Continental with the Bentley label. Power was supplied by the Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre engine with drive supplied via a three speed automatic transmission. This lefthand drive Rolls-Royce has recently benefitted from some extensive work and, as such, presents in very good order. The Shell Grey paintwork has been refreshed and a new Everflex power hood has just been fitted to the car. The interior is largely original, the sumptuous leather seats have a superb patina and the walnut wood throughout the cockpit area has been re-lacquered. The under bonnet area housing the familiar V8 is tidy and to be expected the engine runs well. The odometer reading of 48,212 miles appears to be genuine although not warranted. Supplied with the original service books, a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate, this iconic quintessentially British motor car is sure to put a smile on your face when driven on a hot summer’s day.
