PRICE REDUCTION! Oh Rolls-Royce, what are you doing now!? The so neat British brand suddenly came up with an enormously flamboyant Camargue in 1975. The management at Rolls-Royce also knew, if we want a model that does not look like our regular offer, then we really have to get off the island. So they did and ended up in Italy. Pininfarina was commissioned to design what would become the new top model in the Rolls-Royce portfolio. The world was in shock. Especially the so modest Rolls drivers, they were not used to this. That did not alter the fact that more than 561 people mercilessly ordered a Camargue. Contrary to many other large luxury coupes, the time has been very kind to the Camargue. What a beautiful and stately design it still is. The first owner of this example was not at all afraid to stand out because he not only ordered a Camargue but also had it executed in a beautiful two-tone colour scheme consisting of a Tudor red body and a grey roof. This example has been in the possession of the previous owner since 20008 and is still in very good and original condition.

The bodywork looks beautiful. The sheet metal is beautifully thin and original everywhere. The Tudor red paint is in very good condition and only has some very light signs of use. The roof is covered with the aforementioned grey vinyl and also looks very good. The car stands on the original steel wheels with original hubcaps and good tires in the correct sizes. Also, items such as the lighting and the mouldings are all in very good condition. The car actually still looks exactly as you would expect from a Rolls-Royce.

The inside of the Rolls-Royce Camargue is also in very good and original condition. You can immediately see that the car has mainly been in a heated garage because the leather is not discoloured at all and is still wonderfully supple. The seats are exactly as you would expect from a standing car: extremely comfortable. The carpets are of very high quality and are also in very good condition. The carpets are not only beautiful to look at but also fantastically finished with beautiful red piping, a detail that you can also find on the seats and rear seat. The dashboard is of course equipped with several square meters of burr walnut inlay. The Camargue was the model in which the two-zone climate control debuted. The Camargue is a car that was extremely luxurious for that time, and a car telephone was even added afterwards.

The technique is the standard Rolls-Royce technique from that time that could also be found in other models. The 6.75-litre tappet V8 produces 272 hp and is of course linked to a three-speed automatic transmission. The technique has recently had a major overhaul and is, therefore, ready for departure. The Camargue was the model on which Rolls-Royce debuted its self-levelling rear suspension. The car naturally excels in infinitely comfortable driving behaviour and is a real pleasure to cover long distances. We could even say that you arrive more rested than you leave. The technology is well maintained and can last for years to come. Thanks to the low mileage, the car has never needed an engine overhaul.

In short, not only a beautiful Rolls-Royce Camargue to see but also a pleasure to drive. A serious car in very original condition that should not be missing in a serious Rolls-Royce collection or can be used as the ultimate weekend touring car.
