Construction of the Spider was a strong aluminium tub with lightweight GRP bodywork. Naturally it was rear engine and rear wheel drive, with a 6 speed SADEV sequential gearbox and adjustable Penske race dampers. This spider is also equipped with adjustable pedals , which allows easy adjustment for different height drivers, as well as an FIA spec seat, 6 point harness dated to 31/12/11 and a plumbed in fire system.
Over the ten years the current vendor has owned the car, a number of sensible upgrades have been made. These include modification to the oil breather to incorporate a catch tank, lowering the car ride height, having a thinner and therefore lighter sheet aluminium floor fitted , a silencer that has been converted to be re-packable and benefitting from being set up by Tollbar racing.
