Presenting in Trinidad Red over a burgundy interior, this factory right-hand-drive example is in outstanding condition for its age. Limitedly produced, this S badged convertible series of the Floride featured the R-1092 badge and are incredibly rare due to a single year of production.

In the late 90's it was subject to a complete ground-up restoration during which the interior, exterior and engine were completely refreshed. Showing only 73,201 miles on the odometer, its paintwork presents in excellent condition and the interior is superb. The engine bay and undercarriage are spotless; a testament to the quality of the restoration and the meticulous maintenance of the vehicle.

Pairing a 1.0L inline-4 with an all-synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission, this Floride is a pleasure to drive. The engine was rebuilt, and the driveline refreshed during the restoration process, giving the car a tight, precise and sporty feel.

The unique, yet charming design of the Renault Floride has rendered it a collectable classic in today's market. Its outstanding condition both aesthetically and mechanically, this example would be a complement to any collection.

Built to compete with the success of the Volkswagen Beetle in the United States, the Renault Floride was launched at the 1958 Paris Motor Show. It was designed by Pietro Frua at Ghia and was an instant upon its release. With very few produced in right-hand-drive, the charming looks and drivability of the Floride has made it highly desirable and a truly collectable classic.
