EXTERIOR
Finished in an exclusive coat of Caspium Red (727) this Renault Clio is immediately recognisable as something a little bit special, with its Clio V6 rear spoiler, Grey 16″ Speedline alloys and 10mm lowered suspension giving this incredible little hot hatch a much more purposeful look. If the unique colour and trim weren’t enough of a giveaway silver Trophy graphics adorn the Clio’s side skirts, clearly identifying this as 1 of 500 Trophies built for the UK market.

Having covered less than 12k miles from new this example presents in almost time warp condition; showing with nothing more than a singular, carefully touched in stone chip, the bodywork presents as new with the car still wearing its original coat of paint which retains a deep and vibrant finish.

INTERIOR
Mirroring the condition of the bodywork, the interior of the Trophy shows as if it had just rolled off the production line. Half leather Recaro Trendline seats give the cabin a distinctly motorsport feel whilst providing fantastic support and show with no signs of wear or creasing to the leather bolsters or alcantara inserts, whilst the rear fabric bench seats appears to have never even been sat in. Preservation of originality is really second to none with this Clio, retaining its original steering wheel, FM Radio and even the factory plastic film covers on its Renault Sport branded sills to prevent any scratches or marks.

Being a lightweight Renault means interior equipment is basic but functional, with a CD/FM Radio, electric windows, cruise control and air conditioning covering all the bases for usability and comfort.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Under the bonnet, the Renaultsport-tuned 180bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder is well presented and once warmed is a real thrill. With a potent punch past 4.5k rpm the car comes alive and has sufficient go to upset much more expensive machinery.

Gearbox and clutch are easy to operate, with a tactile selection and engagement free of any slack or unnecessary movement. As expected with such a low mileage example mechanical condition of the car it faultless, serviced exclusively by Renault main dealers throughout its life.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Completing the Clio Trophy set up, a set of Grey 16″ Speedline Turini Alloys with matching Michelin Exalto sit at each corner and show in fantastic condition, these wheels have never been refurbished and as such sit with the correct speedline writing still visable.

The brake discs and pads display with no lipping or pitting, and perform admirably on test.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Renault Beckenham on 30/06/2005 this incredible Clio 182 Trophy is number 342 of just 500 built for the UK market. The car was kept by the first owner until 2012, when it was purchased by the 2nd with just over 11k miles on the clock and has covered just 11,928 miles to date.

Servicing has been completed exclusively by Renault main agent R.Sport LTD, with 4 stamps in the original service book at the following intervals:

05/09/09 – 5,274 Miles

23/09/11 – 11,280 Miles (Cambelt)

03/05/12 – 11,666 Miles
