An avant-garde vehicle, the Renault Avantime is not only a genuine technological showcase for the Renault brand, but also the only "space coupe" in the history of the automobile! A genuine concept car that escaped onto the roads, it also offered top-of-the-range performance on its release. Less than 8,557 units were produced by Matra (like the Espace before it) between its presentation at the 2000 Paris Motor Show and the end of its production in 2003. A commercial failure in its day, it is now a true collector's item.
The one we are presenting, dating from 2003 and equipped with the 2.2 litre DCi diesel 150 bhp engine, in steel grey with a smooth Sahara beige leather interior (and equipped with a tow bar!), was sold in Belgium in 2004, and remained in the hands of the same owner (perhaps the first owner!) until 2013, after having covered just under 117,000 km. In the meantime some parts had been replaced (including the gearbox in 2006, the EGR valve and the intercooler). In 2013, its second owner took possession and drove it until 2019, when it reached 147,000 km. In March 2019, at 143,000 km, the timing belt was changed.

This car will be sold by auction by AGUTTES Auction House, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, on June the 20th, 2021.
