Description

This Porsche-Diesel Junior 108K benefits from limited ownership, with its original owner retaining the tractor for over 55 years, according to the consignor. It received a lengthy restoration in Germany and was then imported to the US, in 2019, by the previous owner, a Pennsylvania-based Porsche tractor collector and specialist. The current owner, a renowned Porsche collector and author of several important books on the marque, acquired it this spring and spent further time sorting out small details. The consignor notes that the engine was rebuilt during the restoration, which is not often done on Porsche tractors.

As a 1959 model, this 108K retains the swooping fenders of the earlier tractors and benefits from the first year of the upgraded 822 cc engine, which increased horsepower to 15. Power was controlled through a six-speed manual gearbox with power take-off and rear-wheel drum brakes. Thus, for most collectors, 1959 is considered one of the most desirable model years. As a Junior model, this 108K is also a manageable size, avoiding some of the garage-space issues of the larger Porsche tractor models.

Having been retained by a single family for over half a century and more recently owned by knowledgeable and respected Porsche collectors, this example has an appealing provenance to match its beautiful condition. For fans of the marque, this Junior 108K represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a fine example of Porsche’s much-loved tractor.
