It was in 1957 that the Porsche-Diesel 218 Standard succeeded the type 122. Produced by the company Porsche-Diesel-Motorenbau-GMBH until 1963, this model was very successful. With a hood with the original shape and its second seat housed on the left rear wing, its design was particularly successful. The Standard version was differentiated by an air-cooled twin-cylinder powerpack. Tractors in this series could be supplied with an optional three-point hitch and cutter bar. The one on offer has the first option, which is very useful. Especially so, as it is equipped with a wooden bucket installed on this lifting system, which is unusual. It is a standard 218 model with the 28bhp 1644cc engine, registered for the first time on January 12, 1959. Repainted in the past, it is in a good overall condition with regard to its utility vocation. Above all, it has kept its dashboard in cast aluminum in its original configuration, whereas this is one part which does not survive restoration. The counter displays 5310 hours of operation. This Porsche tractor is in its characteristic red color, with black front lights, small chrome rear lights and white rims. It has not been used much in recent years but is ready for service, either in the property of a gentleman farmer, or in a collection, just like at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart where a similar copy is on exhibit.
