Direct heir to the 944, it benefits from numerous technical and stylistic improvements, while retaining the balanced architecture that made these models so successful. Its 3.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, one of the largest ever installed in a production car, develops 240 horsepower, offering remarkable performance.
The model we are offering is a 968 Cabriolet in an elegant shade of “Bleu Horizon métallisé”. Originally from Spain, this Porsche was imported into France in the early 2010s and has a history dating back to 1995. It has many features such as heated and electric front seats, air conditioning and the iconic 17-inch Cup rims.
Since its arrival in France, this 968 has not been driven much. It was recently put back on the road but requires a complete mechanical overhaul, including the replacement of the timing system, which was last serviced in 2013. Aesthetically, a few imperfections need to be corrected, but overall it is in good condition. The electric hood has a few snags but works, as do the windows, despite a broken control.
With a little over 130,000 km on the clock, this mileage seems consistent, although the odometer stopped working for a period of time.
Rare, original and fun to drive, this 968 is a true GT, thanks to its 3.0L engine. A great opportunity to restore the luster of one of the most accomplished *transaxle* Porsches!
