Description

"The Porsche 944 was built from 1982 to 1991 on the same platform as the 924. It was intended to last into the 1990s but major revisions planned for a 944 S3 model were eventually rolled into the 968 instead which replaced the 944. The 944 was a successful model and available as both a coupé and cabriolet in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. In mid 1985, the 944 underwent significant changes. These included a new dashboard together with new door panels, embedded radio antenna as well as some mechanical changes. Also included was a larger fuel tank, optional heated and powered seats, Porsche Hi-Fi sound system and revisions in the mounting of the transaxle to reduce noise and vibration.
This attractive, convertible example of this popular model is presented in metallic Tahoe Blue with Ivory leather interior and cream carpets. It has the three litre engine mated to a five speed manual gearbox and was first registered in August 1991. The history file shows 16 service stamps and every single MoT test certificate from the start. It has a manually operated soft top which is new and is much faster than the electric version often prone to malfunction. The car was resprayed three months ago and is fitted with Cat 2 Scorpion alarm and immobiliser. It comes with a substantial history file showing invoices of over £12,000 expenditure, some of which was spent on the following works; cambelt change, clutch, brake discs and pads, CV boots starter motor to name a few. A well-priced entry into the famous Porsche marque."
