Description
This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .After a stay of 18 years in Belgium, this Porsche 944 is back in the Netherlands! The original license plate is back where it belongs and it is looking for a new enthusiast. This 944 from 1985 has undergone a transformation in recent years. The white colour was swapped for 'Limonengelb' and the interior was converted to Mk2 specifications with a half-leather 2+2 configuration and a new dashboard. A very sleek sports car together with the Mk2 bumpers, it has discounted Dutch road tax (€120 per year) because of its manufacturing year.
Inside in very nice condition, the dashboard has no cracks and the leather is still very smooth. All electrical components work properly, including the reclining seats and the rear window.
The outside of the Porsche is almost in excellent condition. Since it was recently resprayed, it doesn’t have any scratches or imperfections. The bottom was fully treat with Tectyl and is rust free. There’s a tiny flaw to the exterior, namely a scratch on the rear bumper.
Mechanics in excellent condition. The engine hums and spins as befits a large four-cylinder. With only 186,187 km, the engine is still fairly fresh. New tyres fitted recently so it’s ready for years to come. In addition, a new stainless steel silencer provides a civilized but very sporty sound. The 944 has a good, transaxle manual transmission. This results in an almost perfect weight distribution which, in combination with the lack of the power steering, makes for an unparalleled driving experience. I can't think of a nicer car to drive with over winding roads in the Ardennes.
