Porsche 911- 935 - DP Motorsport

The G Series 911(930) turbo was the flagship Porsche road car from 1975 to 1989 and offered speed and performance in abundance. This car was delivered through Porsche UK in 1986 and was then modified by DP Motorsport into 935 specification at the behest of the owner who was unable to obtain a 930S flatnose car, thus making it a unique road car as the only right hand drive car produced in turbo flatnose specification.

DP Motorsport came to prominence in the late 1970's when they formed a relationship supplying and manufacturing parts for the Kremer brothers racing team. From initially supplying body parts such as rear wings, DP Motorsport went on to be heavily involved in the creation of the Le Mans winning Kremer Porsche 935 from 1979 that beat not only the works 935 but also all the prototype cars.

Utilising many of the features and design cues from the '79 LeMans winner and also the 930S this car is a special example of the 935 - a car usually only associated with the race track. This car is in great condition and has done just over 24,000 miles from new. The 935 modifications to the car include 'Flatnose' bodywork to the front of the car, including pop up headlights and Low rake windscreen with single central wiper that was made famous by the Kremer 935 Le Mans winner, in addition front and rear track is widened with larger wheel arches to house the 5 spoke Fuchs wheels and tyres. Further aerodynamic / styling modifications were made to the sills, door mirrors, and rear wing to aid performance.

The Engine is 3299cc with KKK turbo charging and competition cylinder heads and camshaft. The turbo intercooler and oil cooler are manufactured in stainless steel as is the DP Motorsport exhaust system. The turbo boost can be adjusted within the cabin area as per the 935 race car with a large boost adjustor in the centre console.. A close ratio four speed gearbox is fitted as are ventilated disc brakes, as well as uprated suspension all to aid on road performance and drivability.

The interior of the car is well appointed with Porsche tri-colour leather interior predominantly in black, with black carpets and dash board, as well as the two drop down occasional seats in the rear which double as a storage shelf. In addition the car sports an electric sunroof and Blaupunkt Stereo system.

With only 4 previous owners and the car remaining with one owner for over 20 years until 2019, this car is supplied with current MOT and is road registered in the UK. This has to be the closest way to experience a Le Mans winning car with all the comforts of a road car.
