Description

“It is a very real Porsche 914. And next to a camel, it's the most practical thing you could put on a desert. It goes forever without a drink of water. The engine is air-cooled. ”- 1970s UK Porsche 914 magazine.

Ever since Ferdinand Porsche helped develop the Beetle, Volkswagen and Porsche have had a very close relationship. Both Volkswagen and Porsche were looking for a new model to launch in the ‘70s, on the one hand as successor to the Volkswagen karmann Ghia coupé and on the other as successor to Porsches 912, the best of both worlds so.

This offered example from 1976 finds itselves in an excellent condition, both technically and aesthetically: the car starts directly and the engine runs smoothly. Besides that, the enginebay, the trunk and the interior are in very good condition. This Porsche 914, equipped with the 2 liter boxer-4 engine is the most sporty variant of the 914 that Porsche developed together with Volkswagen. Even better, this Porsche 914 2.0L drives, due to its lower weight, even sportier than the Porsche 914/6 that was equipped with the boxer-6 engine from the 911. Because the engine lays in the middle of the car, Porsche could provide the 914 with more than enough trunk space both at the front and rear. This 914 was finished in a slightly darker red with matching fabric seats that reminds us immediately of the "funky" 70s.

This beautiful and very practical 2-seater Porsche 914 2.0 liter is now for sale at Rock'n'Roll Classics!
