When restored, our example was entirely converted to GT Group 4 specification. The story of the 914/6 GT began in 1970, when Porsche developed a Group 4 homologated version for endurance racing. Called Gt, it uses the 2-liter Type 911/25 engine, heavily tuned to develop 225 hp. Porsche's racing department built 13 Porsche 914/6 GTs for its own account, as well as some forty cars for private customers.
In 1970, the car achieved outstanding results: sixth overall in the 1970 Le Mans 24-hour race, victory in the 1970 Nurburgring marathon and third overall in the 1971 Monte Carlo. Despite these excellent results, Porsche abandoned the factory program to refocus on the 911.
The car we're presenting here has undergone a state-of-the-art preparation. The bodywork has been completely revised to meet GT specifications. With the exception of the hood, the entire body is made of steel as it was then.

The engine has been tuned (camshafts, valves, etc.) to get as close as possible to the original, and the result lives up to expectations, with power very close to the GT's 225 hp.
A self-locking differential has been fitted to improve handling. An updated PTH is supplied with the car. What's more, the FIA hoops and bucket seats have their homologation up to date.
It's one of the closest to the original that we've ever seen. Eligible for numerous events, this little bombshell of unsuspected efficiency is an excellent alternative to the ever-popular Porsche 911.
