When Porsche unveiled the 911, the new specifications resulted in a higher selling price than the previous 356. To avoid a too high price "step", the manufacturer decided to offer a more affordable version too. This was the 912, launched in 1965, with the flat 4-cylinder engine of the 356 SC, and a layout practically identical to the 911. The car we are offering, restored a few years ago by an important Monaco-based collector, has several features that make it particularly attractive. First of all, it's a Targa version with the removable roof panel that lets you take advantage of the slightest sun rays. Secondly, this car features a very rare "Lime Green" color which was a factory option. Additionally, it has its original engine and upholstery, which was originally black, and is now light brown and features the brand's popular houndstooth fabric. The odometer displays 84,314 km.
After remaining in the shadow of the 911, the 912 has regained its former glory. Enthusiasts have rediscovered the qualities that ensured its success when it was launched and, in addition to the sober design of the Porsches of the 1960s, the example on offer is in very fine condition. It is sold with a certificate issued by Porsche.
