The 912 on offer was sold new in Holland in February 1969. As can be seen by its body plate, it is painted in its original burgundy color code 6808, a color launched in 1968. It is presented today with a very beautiful finish, the interior is in good condition, thanks to the black imitation leather seats and its recent carpets. Our collector acquired this car in December 2015, when it belonged to a Parisian enthusiast of the marque; he has only covered about 2,500 km at its wheel and today the car displays less than 5,000 km on the odometer. In October 2021, Feller Service in Amblainville carried out a complete engine overhaul, including the grinding the crankshaft, connecting rods and flywheel, the replacement of the clutch, camshafts, pistons, and liners as well as the installation of an electronic ignition, for an amount exceeding 17,000 €. A year later, nearly €7,000 were spent to perfect this 912.
The 912 is an interesting alternative to the 911, and this example is very desirable with this original color and its general condition, plus, a recently refurbished engine.
