This is the 964! According to the purists this is a “Peak” Porsche. A very wide-bodied 911, turbo engined and only rear wheel drive. Anybody around in the 90’s would recognise this model 911 from the Bad Boys movie, The 964 Turbo had the starring role next to Will Smith. Of course this car has much more to say about itself than just being a Hollywood starlet. The Porsche 964 Turbo S was the last pure rear wheel driven 911. Our car is really quite special. The “Nachtblau” exterior is complimented by 3-part 18 inch Speedline rims. The exterior condition is very good. The fine bodywork has correctly aligned panels and as you would expect, is undamaged and completely rust-free. The impressive appearance alone could lead you to believe that it does not matter how the car performs. The 911 enthusiast only needs one word to describe the car’s appearance: Perfect! Of course it would not be a proper Porsche if the drive did not excite. The road-hugging features of this car are legendary. This car will reward if you know how and when to brake and bite you in the rear with a lapse of concentration. This car will tickle true drivers in a way that today, with a multitude of regulations, is no longer possibleThat one word; Turbo, raises expectations. With a Turbo there are expectations of speed, a lot of speed! The engine has the much sought after X33 upgrade (this upgrade was only ordered 192 times). Using modified cylinder heads, inlet and exhaust ports, different camshafts and adjusted valve timing, it squeezes no less that 355 Hp out of its 3.3 litre boxer engine. It takes the 911 less than 5 seconds to reach 100km/hr with a top speed of over 270km/hr. These are figures that still impress in todays world. A 911 is not just fast it also has to be comfortable. The right choices were made when the car was ordered from new. It was fitted with a sunroof, comfort seats, lumbar supports and aircon. The wonderful marine blue interior is in an original well kept state and combines stunningly with the “Nachtblau” exterior finish. The car is one of 15 supplied from new in Italy in 1992. A full record of its service history as well as the original car wallet and owner’s manual is present. The car has fully matching numbers as well as a Porsche certificate of authenticity.
