The vehicle was stripped to a bare shell then shot blasted to ensure that there would be no issues remaining once the build was complete. Utilising all new or fully refurbished panels and parts as required, the re-creation was completed to the very highest of standards and fully detailed throughout. Mechanically, the 3.0-litre engine, which had previously been breathed on by well known Porsche mechanic Bob Watson of Bob Watson Engineering, received a full check over and was deemed fit for purpose, the gearbox, however, was found to be in need of attention and was completely rebuilt. Externally the Porsche was refinished in the desirable and instantly recognizable shade of Viper Green and fitted with the correct decals for that nod to originality, while internally a full retrim was commissioned.
