The car we are presenting here is an authentic 911 2.2 T Karmann coupé dating from 1969. A genuine two-owner car, it has been stored in the dry inside its owner’s garage for nearly 30 years. It was purchased new from Sonauto in 1969 by Madame Letessier, who covered close to 112,000 miles (180,000 km) with it. She took great care to have her Porsche serviced every year, following to the letter the company’s recommendations to carry out ‘minor’ and ‘major’ services every 6,000 and 12,000 miles (10,000 and 20,000 km) respectively. This is confirmed by the original service booklet, stamped up by Sonauto through to the mid-1980s. Its current owner acquired the car in December 1990, since when it has been maintained by Meznarie, the renowned Porsche specialist. For 30 years, its owner has looked after the 911 very well, using it only on rare occasions. In its attractive original shade of Light Ivory, this 911 2.2 T deserves being completely repainted, even though it has an imitable patina. It is still equipped with its original engine, Zenith carburettors and five-speed gearbox (an option). Overall, it is in sound condition and – with the exception of the radio – all the original accessories, such as the jack, hazard warning triangle and Fuchs spare wheel, are still present, while the fuel tank was recently replaced. Although the engine runs properly and the car can be driven, we would recommend that a full service be carried out before undertaking a long journey with it.
Estimate: 40,000 – 60,000 €
