THE 1968 911 2.0S

During the last 50 years no car has proved to be so good, so capable as the 911. The first of many upgrades and changes arrived in '67 with the launch of the first 911. Easily recognized by the alloy 5 spokes Fuches wheels but with a lot of mechanical changes as well. The flat 6 was equipped with double Wber 40 IDS carb's, delivering 160hp and 225km/h. Handling was improved as well with new discs, bigger anti roll bar in front, new anti roll bar in the back and a leather steering wheel. For '68 the car received new door panels and Porsche built the last short wheel based 911. This SWB is beloved because of its superior and sporty handling.

EXTERIOR & INTERIOR

The 911 was restored 5 years or 3.950km's ago. The car left the factory in Ivory White but the owner chose to change color and the car was painted in Steve McQueen's Slate Grey;

The body was completely stripped to bare metal. Everything was restored or replaced, all chrome was redone, all rubbers replaced.

The upholstery was overhauled with new carpets, door panels, roof lining, dashboard,... The current owner had the seats replaced by ST bucket seats complete with Sabelt 4-point harnesses and Nardi steering wheel, for added security and driving pleasure! A Terratrip and chronometers were installed for RT’s of regularity rally’s.

MOTOR & MECHANICS

This car was completely restored so suspension, mechanics, gearbox & engine are completely revised and renewed. New shock absorbers, rubbers, brakes, steering,... No money was spared, no part was left alone during restoration, with over 60.000€ in parts alone!

HISTORY

This beautiful example is one of 1267 911S coupés produced and is a great car to be enjoyed on long trips or rally's. It's a fully restored 911; a real drivers car in wonderful Slate Grey over a black interior.
