Description
The Porsche 911 2.0, introduced in 1964, was the very first model in the legendary 911 lineage. Powered by a 2.0-litre air-cooled flat-six engine producing 130 horsepower, it stood out for its rear-engine layout, timeless design, and outstanding performance for its era. A true automotive icon, the 911 2.0 laid the foundations for what would become one of the world's most celebrated sports cars.
The example we are pleased to present is a Porsche 911 2.0 Coupé producing 130 hp, built on April 19, 1966, and delivered new to Salzburg, Austria. It is powered by its original Type 901/01 engine producing 130 hp and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms its factory specifications, including its matching engine and its original factory configuration.
Finished in its original « Polorot » (code 6602) paintwork with a black leatherette interior, this car perfectly highlights the timeless lines of the early 911 models. It also benefits from an especially desirable factory specification, including tinted Catacolor glass, an auxiliary Webasto heater, raised seat positioning, a driver's side exterior mirror, Koni shock absorbers, and a Becker Mexico radio complete with speakers and antenna.
The car has been restored in accordance with the manufacturer's original specifications, with particular attention paid to preserving its authenticity. Thanks to its factory-certified original configuration, matching-numbers engine, and particularly elegant presentation, this Porsche 911 2.0 represents a highly desirable example from the earliest generations of the legendary 911.
The car is available for viewing by appointment, either in person or virtually, at our showroom. Please do not hesitate to request a video presentation or a digitized history file, which we will be delighted to provide.
