Description
The car we are offering for sale is a 1965 Porsche 911 2.0 Cup Type F with just over 22,600 kilometers (5-digit counter). This unique car is ready to be driven in the Peter auto events, the Tour Auto, the Porsche 2L Cup, or the VHC events.
The 2.0 flat 6 engine with 180 hp is fed by 6 solex carburetors and a large volume fuel tank with a high flow fuel pump. On the transmission side, the 5-speed 915 gearboxes with spur gears are complemented by a self-locking differential, all resting on a 901 competition-type body.
As far as the exterior is concerned, it is in very good condition: the paintwork looks good, and there are few traces of track fights. The chassis is in good shape, and the inside of the fenders has been visually inspected, as well as the wheel arches. The whole thing doesn't seem to have any rust or perforating corrosion. The decoration is made of vinyl, which can be removed to customize it with the colors of your sponsors.
The cockpit retains some original accessories, starting with the wooden dashboard typical of the 1965 versions and rare in a 2L CUP. The fire extinguishers, roll bar, bucket seats, and other FIA safety devices still benefit from the current homologation. Delivered with only one bucket and harness, it is however possible to accommodate a second kit for potential baptisms or other drives: the eyelets and drilling are indeed present.
It has its FIA passport and its Spanish papers are in order; it is ready to compete in the Peter Auto events (Tour Auto, Porsche 2L CUP, ...) in which it has already participated many times, just like the circuits it has driven on such as the Paul Ricard, Imola or the Grand Prix de Pau.
