This is one of only 50 right hand drive Turbo Cabriolet models produced for the last of the line 1989 model year featuring the desirable G50 five-speed gearbox. Supplied when new by the official Porsche dealer JCT600 in Leeds, it must be one of the very last 930 models, not being registered until August 1990 and it features a unique specification, finished in special wishes customer order ‘Paint to Sample’ Slate Grey metallic with a matching full leather interior.

The original stamped service book shows regular maintenance by the supplying dealer JCT600 for the first five years of its life, followed by Porsche Dealer Dick Lovett in Swindon and then the official Porsche Centre in West London.

In 2015 the Turbo joined a significant English private collection and a thorough refurbishment programme began. Firstly, a full inspection was carried out by the well-regarded Porsche specialists Parr Motorsport in Sussex which is detailed on file. Following this a full engine rebuild was carried out and all areas requiring attention were addressed as detailed on file with invoices amounting to £28,000.

Washington Coachworks who have much experience with the Porsche marque were then entrusted with the car and again any items of trim or paintwork found wanting were dealt with.

This rare Turbo Cabriolet now presents and drives extremely well, like a low mileage example really despite the 93,000 miles recorded. Most recently a Blaupunkt Bremen stereo has been fitted, this new unit has the appearance of the original fit Blaupunkt whilst being very high quality and modern internally with powerful amplifiers, Bluetooth, audio streaming and DAB radio.
