The first turbo engines appeared on the 911 generation of Porsches, available on the Turbo 3.0L and the Turbo 3.3L known as the “930”. Produced from 1978, the 930 Turbo 3.3L gained in displacement, reaching 300 hp compared to 260 for the 3.0L.
The 930 is easily recognizable from the outside, with widened front and rear fenders, Fuchs rims available in the catalog, an imposing spoiler but also gussets on the bumpers. Originally, the 930 was only to be produced in 500 units in order to be able to participate in Le Mans. Finally, given its success, the German firm continued its production. This Porsche actually requires mastering certain basic elements, in particular adjusting the accelerator on wet roads and in corners because, when the turbo is triggered, the power is not desired.
The example we are presenting was delivered new to Switzerland. We found its trace in 1989 in the Jura, in 1991, it was acquired by an amateur from Jura who kept it for 31 years. In 2022, it was acquired by its current owner. In a very beautiful configuration, this automobile was restored in recent years for more than 60,000 euros in invoices.
Nostalgic for the 80s, this symbol of an entire era, like the Testarossa and the Countach, is waiting for you.
