To homologate the 993-type 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 for top-level GT competition, Porsche built 227 examples of the corresponding Clubsport model—recognised by the important “M003” option code. Although road legal, it was a barely tamed version of the Carrera Cup racer.
This car was completed in March 1995. Configured for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, it was finished in Grand Prix White and equipped with bucket seats, 18-inch RS wheels, a Momo leather steering wheel, plus 92-litre fuel tank. A copy of the purchase agreement records delivery to Anton Zeiger of Litzendorf via Porsche Innsbruck on 5 December. It was still registered to Mr Zeiger come May 2000 but would find a new keeper in the coming years.
Addressed to then owner Dieter Kaiser of Offenburg, an October 2003 invoice copy details a powertrain conversion by leading Porsche specialist and race team Freisinger Motorsport. At a cost of €22,040, a 993-generation Turbo 3.6-litre flat-six and gearbox were installed. The car has also been modified with wide-arched bodywork to cosmetically resemble a GT2 Clubsport.
Registered to the consigning owner in Sweden from June 2007, the 911 heads to auction after a period in storage. Mechanical inspection is recommended prior to the car being driven.
