Named after the FIA racing class for which it was intended, Porsche’s first GT3 was introduced in 1999 based upon the 996 platform. Similar to past RS models, the GT3 was track focused and stripped of unnecessary items that blunted performance. For 2006, a second-generation 997 GT3 was launched with a 3.6-liter flat-six sending 415 hp to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle, Porsche’s active PASM suspension system, and zero-lift aerodynamics. An RS variant upped the ante further with additional weight reduction and increased grip and stability. Porsche conservatively quoted a 0–60 mph time of 4.2 seconds and top speed of 192 mph.

One of only 90 examples originally finished in Orange, this 2007 GT3 RS features a black leather and Alcantara-trimmed interior. Extra-cost options included Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Communication Management 2.1, bi-xenon headlights, and Sport Chrono Package Plus. Delivered new through Porsche of Hawaii and maintained in the current owner’s collection since 2016, this RS showed a mere 1,521 miles when catalogued. It presents in exceptional condition throughout, with virtually no signs of use.
