Description

The Porsche 911 Speedster is the most desirable open-top version of every 911 generation. Introduced in 1989, it was the first 911 to bear the Speedster name since its appearance on the most iconic versions of the Porsche 356. A combination of the words speed and roadster, the name was chosen to designate a lightweight, performance-focused convertible. It is instantly recognizable by its lower, more steeply raked windscreen and, above all, its distinctive double-hump rear tonneau concealing the manually operated soft top in place of the rear seats.
Powered by a 3.2-litre flat-six producing 231 hp, the engine perfectly embodies Porsche's philosophy of the 1980s, delivering razor-sharp throttle response, a linear power delivery, and an unmistakable mechanical soundtrack. Paired with the renowned 5-speed G50 manual gearbox, it offers one of the purest and most engaging driving experiences of its era.

The example we are pleased to present was delivered new to its first owner on 22 August 1989 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Built in the highly sought-after narrow-body specification, only 171 examples were produced, making it one of the rarest Porsche 911 Speedsters ever built.
Finished in its original Grand Prix White over Marine Blue leather interior and equipped with the desirable factory Sport Seats, it combines understated elegance with unmistakable sporting character. This discreet yet exceptionally attractive specification makes it a highly collectible example for the most discerning enthusiasts.
Showing just over 44,000 km from new, the car remains in its original configuration and has never required a restoration. Preserved in exceptional condition throughout its life, it is fully Matching Numbers.

The car is available for viewing by appointment, either in person or virtually, at our showroom. We would be delighted to provide a detailed walkaround video as well as a digitized copy of its complete history file upon request.

Please feel free to contact us by email or telephone for any further information.
