Thus from 1984 when Porsche introduced the 3.2 Carrera the car took on a new lease of life, thanks to new body styling, suspension and brake upgrades, the 3164cc Bosch L-Jetronic injection system and electronics now controlled by Digital Motor Electronics. These updates resulted in a stylish and much-improved car, so the 1980's Carrera 3.2 is now highly regarded as a superb driving machine and an excellent car to collect.

This particular car is a UK-supplied 3.2 Carrera Targa. Most versions produced for the UK were the Coupé or Convertible derivative, the Targa having been produced in limited numbers. The car is finished in its original colour combination of Grand Prix White with Burgundy leather upholstery with flannel cloth inserts. The service history in the history file confirms regular maintenance throughout the cars 120,000-mile life with a mix of main dealer and Porsche specialists.

The desirable G50 5-speed gearbox was standard to this model as were the wider Fuchs alloy wheels. The car is in lovely overall condition, including the Targa top, and has clearly benefitted from indoor storage and timely maintenance. To buy a 911 of this vintage, background and quality is now hard in this price range. It comes to the Sale with an MOT until 30/11/2018 and a comprehensive history file of bills, receipts and prior MOT Certificates.
