Bought new in 1979 by Jean Philippe Smet, aka the legendary Johnny Hallyday, this particular car was ordered in petrol blue #376 and immediately repainted in black #700 following the artist's request. Expeditiously, the celebrity wanted more power and entrusted the Almeras brothers of Montpellier with the task of preparing this 911 SC as much as possible, both mechanically and aesthetically. Renowned for their expertise in Porsche preparations, a quote was established on the 17th December 1979 for chassis 9119301076 in the name of Mr. Johnny Hallyday. The aim was to increase the power from 3.0L to 3.5L by replacing the crankshaft with the one from the 3.3L Turbo, the K-Jetronic injection with a large 3.0L RSR Bosch mechanical injection pump, amendment of camshafts with 2.7 RS types, the fuel pump, various parts and modifications necessary for this transformation. 3.3L Turbo 4-piston discs and callipers ensure braking and 26mm torsion bars, harder stabiliser bars, Monte Carlo type front shafts combined with Bilstein shock absorbers; road handling. The bodywork adopts the Turbo Look and a 934-type spoiler and wide Gotti aluminium rims of 8 and 10x15', which make it look like a circuit beast. Johnny used this car until January 1983 after having driven it for more than 80,000 km and sold it to its second owner, an enthusiast from the Deux-Sevres region who serviced it meticulously, as evidenced by the file of invoices.
It has been the pride and joy of two other enthusiasts to this day. It had an extensive restoration and preparation carried out in order to participate in sporting events or club track days, as well as its FFSA #60336 passport which was issued in 2012. It was entrusted to specialists such as Meznarie and Crubile for its servicing between 1989 and 2017. Registration documents attest that it was Johnny's car and a major file of invoices and roadworthiness testing since new provide evidence about the chain of owners. It is featured in Jean Basselin's book "Johnny Hallyday, my exceptional motorcycles and cars" (published by Hugo Motors) as a 930 Turbo due to its widened wings but, the author has provided us with an Erratum. A copy of a picture of the car autographed by Johnny is included in the file.
