Description

If we think of a sports car, we automatticaly think of a 911. This huge successtory of Porsche is since the 60’s a measurement for the whole sports car industry which is today no different. Because of the strict legislation on roll-overs the american government premised in the 60’s, it was impossible for Porsche te export a topless version of their most succesful sports cart to the US. Therefore Porsche designed a Targa version that, thanks to it steel rollbar, garantueed the safety of a coupé and the driving pleasure of a convertible. The Targa became a such a great succes that, even after the American government dropped the legislation on roll-overs, Porsche kept on building Targa’s. The rollbar became a part of Porsches iconic 911 linecomposition which is still noticable today if we look at the 991 Targa’s.

Offered here is a Porsche 911 2.7S Targa from 1974 built fort he US market. According to copies of the original registration documents, it was first registrated in Rapid City in ’75 and lived there a loving life untill 2017, according tot he cars condition. In 2017 this car was first registrated here in Belgium and as well being threated with love and care. Under the hood lays a, in 2017 overhauled, 2.7 liter boxer-6-engine (M911/3) that as the rpm increases the sounds get better. This 911 is everything Porsche stands for; Simplicity with the main focus on drivingsensation and that’s unnoticable when you step behind the wheel. The engine- and chassisnumber are, according to het Porsche
Geburtsurkunde-document, matching. What is harldy to find nowadays. Besides that this 911 is finished in ‘Peru Rot’-non-metallic color which was only aviable fort he ’73 and ’74 models.
