Porsche debuted the GT3 variant of the 997 911 in 2007. A new 3.6 Liter Flat-Six engine was introduced with 415 hp and 8,400-rpm redline as well as a host of “zero lift” aerodynamics compared to a standard 911. The GT3 RS provided a homologation model for use in a range of racing series. The GT3 RS is lighter than the standard GT3 as well as having a wider rear track which improved stability and cornering grip.
