Description

The Porsche 997 GT3 3.6 revealed in February 2006 and produced at only 2378 units until 2009 is the brand interpretation of a competition car that can be driven on public roads. At the time of more electronics and comfort equipment included in the Porsche 911, the GT3 model is addressed to those who are looking for Sport before anything else. Everything on this car has a technical reason and value: the many openings cool down the mechanical elements as engine or brakes, the openwork hood makes the warm air from the radiator going above the car instead of below and the spoiler is adjustable. The global result is a “zero lift” aerodynamics so the car creates only down force improving the stability and no grip diminishing lift upwards and away from the road surface. Another specificity of the GT3 is the possibility to set the chassis according to the pilot way of driving. The PASM for Porsche Active Suspension Management offers two driving programs and the Sport’s mode gives the possibility to adjust the shock absorbers, anti-roll bars and camber angle. By opposition, the inside can be quite civilized with options like air conditioning, GPS, audio pack or sunroof, even if the ambience is Sport with aluminum, Alcantara fabric and leather. About the atmospheric 3.6 flat 6 engine it has been made exclusively for the GT3 and has nothing in common with the 3.6 from the 997 Carrera. Built with lighten crank shaft, pistons and titanium rods, it delivers 415 horsepower and offers a marvelous sound radically different from 4000 rpm when the exhaust valves open and intensifies until 8500 rpm! The aerodynamics study combined with the fantastic engine, the 6-manual gearbox, the lightweight of 1395 kilos but also its civilized side make the Porsche 997 GT3 one of the most efficient and polyvalent car of its generation.

This Porsche 997 GT3 3.6 with chassis number WPOZZZ99Z7S91770 has been delivered the 28th May 2007 and repainted by the French artist Richard Orlinski. It gets Club Sport Package, Sport Chrono Package, bi-xenon headlights, cruise control and lightweight bucket seats as factory options. The car has been driven 42 000 kilometers.
