Description

Produced from 1994 to 1998, the 993 was Porsche’s last air-cooled 911. Representing an aesthetic change of direction at Stuttgart, the 993 was considered revolutionary compared to its predecessors in terms of performance, comfort, and safety. In 1995, a 993 Turbo arrived with a twin-turbocharged engine, widened wheel arches, sculpted rear spoiler, four-wheel drive, and a six-speed transaxle. That June, Motor Trend declared the new Turbo “the most brutally accelerating, best-handling, best-braking Porsche ever sold in the USA.” The Turbo’s 0–60 mph flew by in 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 mph.

According to its CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this example was delivered new in Ohio to its first owner in August 1995. It then briefly relocated to New Orleans in 1999, before settling in Florida in 2000, where it has remained since. Finished in the vibrant color combination of Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige leather interior, the Turbo’s factory options included desirable hardback sport seats, CD player, self-dimming mirrors, and a rain sensor for automatic windshield wiper control. Displaying less than 22,000 miles, this example has remained in its current ownership since 2013. The Porsche includes invoices for a 2013 service, as well as books, tools, spare, and tire inflator.

Turbo models have always been among Porsche’s most iconic offerings. Presenting very well throughout, this low-mileage 993 Turbo would be a great candidate for exhibition or enjoyment on the open road.
