Description
Introduced in 1994, Porsche’s 993 model was to be the last iteration of the classic 911, which drew from the original 1964 design. The limited-production Carrera S models are the last in the lineage of the world’s best-known sports car, combining old-school 911 character with modern convenience.
According to its original service manual, the Carrera was delivered by Hoffman Porsche of Hartford, Connecticut, on January 24, 1998, to its first owner, Michael Smith. The original window sticker shows that the car was desirably optioned with sport seats, torque limited-slip with ABD, motor sound package, hi-fi sound system, and sport chassis with 18" wheels. Most notably, this car was equipped with the desirable Aerokit II package, which included distinctive front and rear spoilers. A CARFAX Vehicle History Report indicates that the car stayed in Connecticut until being purchased by the consignor in 2011. Service records, which document the car from new, show it was given a major service at Napleton Westmont Porsche in Illinois in 2011 at 12,393 miles.
Finished in a highly desirable and rare black on black color combination, this limited-production 993 Carrera S remains in exceptional original condition and is offered with its original books, tools, service records, and window sticker. Showing approximately 12,600 miles, eminently collectible and wonderful to use, this Porsche is at the cutting edge of the modern air-cooled 911 market.
