For more than 30 years, the French Porsche Carrera Cup exist on race tracks around Europe with 12 races on 6 circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps, Barcelona, Magny-cours or even Castellet. Launched in 1987 by the former French importer, it all started with the 944 Turbo Cup, it became exclusive to the 911 in 1991. The races are very impressive, the show is quite incredible, with a selection of very skilled pilots. Mix between young talented pilots and gentlemen drivers put together on the same race battling for the colors of their teams. In 2014, the fifth generation of 911 cup starts in France with the brand new 991 GT3 Cup. Entirely rebuilt, it has a 3.8l flat 6 engine developing 460 hp fitted with a double-clutch 6 speed gear box. For the first season in France with the new 991, 26 cars are competing.

Already winner of the Carrera Cup in 2012 and 2013 in the Gentlemen Drivers category, Christophe Lapierre is engaging his 991 GT3 Cup for a new season in the Sebastien Loeb Racing Team. Before being a well-known pilot for the team, Christophe Lapierre won the “volant Elf” in 1986, the French Rally cup in 1992 and will race the 24 hours of Spa, Dubai and Daytona in 2017. To this day, this pilot has the record of victories in Porsche Carrera Cup France.
The car presented today is the one Christophe Lapierre drove for the season 2014, and won in 2015, 2016 and 2017 with Sebastien Loeb, plus one fantastic victory for the opening race of the 24 hours of Le Mans 2017. This machine is an incredible car to win any race, this GT3 had won what could possibly be won. The number on the doors is the legendary 911.
