After the evolution of the “G” bodied 911’s, Porsche introduced the 964 for 1989 as the new 911 model. With technologies from the flagship 959 supercar, Porsche introduced the Carrera 4 for the debut model featuring an all-wheel drive system mated to its new 3.6 Liter Flat 6-cylinderr engine and 5-speed G64 gearbox. With the newly designed bumpers and bodywork, the 911’s drag coefficient was drastically reduced to 0.32, making it the most slippery air-cooled 911 to date. Also debuting on this new 964 model was coil springs, ABS brakes and power steering.

Closing out the 964 series in 1994, Porsche offered a small number of cars that could be ordered with special wide-body coachwork. This featured widened front fenders and rear quarter flares that resembled the Turbo but were not quite as broad and retained the 964’s standard pop-up engine cover spoiler. These are also known as “Turbo-look” cars similar in essence to the previous 911 “M491” package. Less than 300 Widebody cars were produced for North America and only 29 produced in Grand Prix White.

This rare 911/964 C4 Widebody is an extremely difficult find in today’s market and especially in this condition. Many of these USA delivered C4 Widebody’s have been exported to collectors throughout the world. Originally sold by the Porsche Exchange in Highland Park, IL, this C4 Widebody has just three owners from new and has seen exceptional servicing throughout its life. It has been owned in the past by Porsche enthusiast collectors who have made certain it has been kept in excellent, ready to use condition at all times. Cosmetically and mechanically excellent in every way, this C4 Widebody is complete with original factory books, service book with stampings, tools, spare tire compressor, service records and its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. This 911 has also been fitted with Porsche’s Classic Style modern radio system.
