Nach den Werksferien 1991 legte Porsche mit dem 964 Carrera RS eine Sportwagen-Legende neu auf. Insgesamt 2.282 Fahrzeuge kamen in den Handel. Die Auflage verteilte sich auf drei Ausführungen. Mit internem Produktionscode M003 entstanden – je nach Blickwinkel – 288 respektive 291 Clubsport-Versionen.

Ihre beste Zeit hatten sie in der Langstreckensaison 1992, als die Motorsport-Kategorie N/GT aufblühte. Daraus sind da und dort falsche Schlüsse gezogen worden. Denn N/GT war keine Typbezeichnung, sondern eine Rennklasse.

Die Clubsport-Ausführung M003 wird mit eingeschweißter Matter-Sicherheitszelle in Wagenfarbe geliefert und für die Gruppe N/GT homologiert. Im Gegensatz zur Cup-Ausführung M001 ist Straßenzulassung möglich. Das Reglement will es so und schreibt 250 Einheiten zur sportrechtlichen Zulassung vor.

Sternrubin ist eine der begehrtesten Farben; auf Auktionen werden regelmäßig Höchstpreise erzielt.

Der Wagen befand sich bis 2007 in Schweizer Hand. Danach lief er bis 2013 in Spanien. Und seit 2013 ist der Wagen in Deutschland.

Außerdem wurde der Wagen vor ca. 10 Jahren von einem Porsche-Spezialisten in Speyer umfangreich überarbeitet.

Mit dem Wagen kommt ein gut geführtes Scheckheft, ein Wertgutachten mit der Note 1- und der Satz Originale Magnesiumfelgen.

After the 1991 factory vacations, Porsche relaunched a sports car legend in the form of the 964 Carrera RS. A total of 2,282 vehicles went on sale. The production run was spread over three versions. With internal production code M003, 288 or 291 Clubsport versions were produced, depending on the perspective.

They had their best time in the 1992 endurance season, when the motorsport category N/GT flourished. Wrong conclusions have been drawn from this here and there. Because N/GT was not a type designation, but a racing class.

The Clubsport version M003 comes with a welded-in Matter safety cell in body color and is homologated for Group N/GT. In contrast to the Cup version M001, road homologation is possible. The regulations want it that way and prescribe 250 units for sport legal approval.

Star Ruby is one of the most highly sought-after colours; top prices are regularly achieved at auctions.

The car was in Swiss hands until 2007. After that, it ran in Spain until 2013. And since 2013, the car remains in Germany.

The car was also extensively overhauled by a Porsche specialist in Speyer about 10 years ago.

With the car comes a well-maintained checkbook, a value appraisal with a grade of 1- and the set of original magnesium rims.
