This particular example, Chassis No. WP0ZZZ96ZNS499084 was purchased new in Germany by a Kersten Jodexnis of Hanover. The car was issued plate number H-JX 727 on December 29, 1992 and quickly began its racing career. According to the vehicle’s ONS Wagenpass, the German equivalent to a racing logbook, this RS N/GT competed in almost 50 races throughout Germany, Belgium, France, and other European countries from 1996 to 2002. The vehicle was offered for sale in 2002 by a Charles Kauffman of Luxmaschinn in Luxembourg. It was purchased by a Mr. Papay of Connecticut and entered the United States in 2003 through New Jersey. It continued its racing career in a number of PCA Club races and received a number of services and repairs. The biggest such service came in 2008 when it underwent a full, powertrain-out restoration at the 901 Shop in Stuart, Florida. The engine was fully overhauled and rebuilt alongside the suspension in a process that took over 150 hours of labor.

This 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS N/GT Coupe remains equipped with a fully-welded roll cage, Recaro seats, Schroth Racing harnesses, Brembo brakes, and Hoosier tires among other racing equipment. Once the “Time-Out” items, like the racing harnesses, tires, general service, fuel bladder, and items of that nature are addressed, this car will be ready to hit the track once again. The exterior is finished in the factory Grand Prix White (P5) color with Porsche five-spoke rims and a fiberglass hood in place of the original aluminum one. Given that this is a race car with over 50 in-period races, it has had its fair share of racing incidents but it presents well cosmetically for that kind of racing pedigree.

Upon purchase, the new owner will receive the documentation detailing the vehicle’s extensive history and journey from Germany to the US including a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, German registration, and the ONS Wagenpass. A spare engine case will also be included. This 1 of 290 RS N/GT is ready to continue its legacy at PCA Club races and poses a unique opportunity for a Porsche enthusiast to get behind the wheel of a purpose-built racing machine from Porsche’s golden years in motorsports.
