EXTERIOR
Built on a genuine 964 non sunroof shell this 3.8 RS build delivers that fantastic fusion of wide arches, unique rear wing and deep dish speedline wheels – evoking pure 90’s design drama allied with the definitive period colour; Signal Green.

The car looks fantastic and appears every bit the homologation special; one to admire and enjoy from every angle.

Genuine 3.8 steel wings were installed alongside bumpers, period correct carbon kevlar bonnet and DP rear wing – all prepared and painted to an exceptional standard by marque specialist Robin Dalwood.

INTERIOR
The less is more philosophy is what separates the RS from the rest and with the two tried and tested elements – Genuine Porsche RS seats and a Heigo half cage – the cabin feel is pure racer for the road. Painted seat backs and the cage in body colour reinforce this study in Renn Sport. A Personal sports wheel with boss allow a more flexible driving position with Schroth harnesses providing further safety and support.

The minimalist approach continues throughout the car; with manual windows and body coloured embroidered lightweight carpets in place of the rear seats.

A modern Pioneer head unit has been added to the car, with integrated Bluetooth and Aux inputs, aiming to introduce some practicality into an otherwise entirely driver focused space.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It’s no surprise that this conversion has something very special under the rear deck lid – an M64.03 Genuine 964RS engine built to 3.8 RS spec with correct factory heads and genuine magnesium plenum and ITB’s. A Motec M4 ECU ensures a smooth and tractable power delivery throughout the rev range.

The drivetrain consists of a genuine RS clutch and flywheel arrangement with OS Giken LSD to harness the formidable power on offer.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
A set of 18″ Speedline split-rims complete the iconic RS aesthetic and present in good order, free from any signs of curbing. The alloys are shod in a matching set of Michelin Pilot Sports, each with ample tread left.

Between the spokes show the trademark red callipers and ventilated discs, uprated both on the front and back with OEM equipment to match the increase in engine performance.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied as an original non-sunroof 964 C2 delivered to Japan in 1990, this car was hand picked and imported by the current PCGB enthusiast owner in 2012 for the purpose of his ambitious build project.

Pleasingly the car had an exceptional history folder with original service stamps annotated across two service books as well as being a non sunroof accident-free example.
The car would then be sent to marque specialist Robin Dalwood who would perform the wide body conversion using factory panels before painting the car in the sublime Signal Green. John Holland’s Unit 11 were then entrusted with the further build to 3.8 RS spec.

The car has since been looked after by some of the best known specialists in the country; Neil Bainbridge, HP Motorsport and suspension guru’s CT Racing have all been involved in achieving as credible a recreation to the original car as possible. Finally, it was in 2020 that a 3.8 RS engine was made available and subsequently fitted by Northway Porsche.

The history file lists an incredible amount of work carried out over the years and also includes a full specification of the build alongside the original service books, owners handbook and advisory-free MOT certificates.

Over a period of 10 years, the sole conscientious UK owner has entrusted only the very best to create this RS special and the results look, sound and feel incredible!
