Beige leather interior
Only 106 000 kms from new

Sporty icon of the 80s and 90s at a low price. In 1986, two years after the successful launch of the first Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6L, the Sochalian manufacturer offered a second version in its catalogue. This one proved to be even more convincing, with a 1.9L cylinder capacity and 130 horsepower obtained at 6,000 rpm! The 1,000 metres from a standstill then goes under the 30-second mark, which is already exceptional for the time. In order to counter these great performances, a highly efficient front suspension and disc brakes are fitted at the front and rear. The GTI was a complete success before it was retired in 1994. The Gentry is not a replacement for the GTI, but rather a support for the GTI's career. In the early 1990s, the GTI had to become more discreet and the customer base had to change. The Clio Baccaras are the new queens of the 16th arrondissement in Paris and Peugeot wants to attack this market.
The 205 Gentry presented here is a very rare Mayfair beige version sold new in Holland. First put on the market on July 9th 1992, it has an interesting configuration. It is fitted with a panoramic sunroof and a mechanical gearbox. It has always been very well maintained by Peugeot garage or 205 specialists. Its current condition is excellent, the interior is flawless and the leather of the seats without wear or tear. The beige specific to the Mayfair colour is present everywhere, from the steering wheel to the gear shift knob or even the seat belts and everything is in near perfect condition. The service book shows the original mileage and the car is sold with its two keys and the original central locking "plip". The test drive will confirm the great freshness of the 205. The 105hp 1.9 engine is a model of pleasure and smoothness. The distribution system, water pump, filters and spark plugs were replaced in June 2020 at 104,400 km. This 205 is a collector's item in power and some historians of the brand speak of only about 200 examples manufactured in this configuration of colours.

This car will be sold by auction by AGUTTES Auction House, in Paris, France, on March the 21th, 2021.
The digital catalog and information about health situation will be updated on our website.
