The 205 GTI Le Mans was a limited edition of 84 units, reserved for the Swedish market. Based on a catalyzed 1.9L GTI, this special series was equipped with specific options such as the steering wheel and gear lever knob in wood, heated seats, a "Hella" inter-lamp, front wheel mud flaps, an anti-corrosion treatment of the chassis and an engine preheating system to facilitate starting in extreme cold.
The car on offer was delivered new to Mr Gustafsson via the dealer Klangs Bilservice AB in Lidköping, Sweden on January 30, 1991. This 205 left Sweden for France in 2019, before being acquired by the current owner at the end of 2021. Our collector then undertook a comprehensive restoration of the bodywork, stripping the body and giving it a zinc treatment before the body received its beautiful, model-specific Miami blue tint. The running gear and the braking system have been refurbished, and the car received a servicing overhaul. This 205 Le Mans now displays 199,380 km on the odometer and has all its Swedish and French technical inspections justifying the progression of its mileage as well as its logbooks.
Being able to find a 205 Le Mans is rare, this one having benefited from a major restoration, it is today in an exceptional condition.
