This car has had only four owners since new. The previous one was a collector from Bouches-du-Rhones and the one who is letting it go today is a big fan of Group B cars and also very picky about the condition of his cars. When he bought this 205 T16 In 2020, he entrusted it to a specialist workshop for a general service which included the replacement of belts.
The speedometer was replaced between 2000 and 2004 (the needle tends to bend on this model) at just over 25,000 km, but the mileage can be tracked accurately thanks to the document provided by Histovec, a governmental service which records all consecutive technical inspections. As of now, the new odometer displays 6,200 km, resulting in a total mileage of around 37,200 km from new.
This car is currently in a very well-preserved and well-serviced original condition, with its original mechanical components and a gorgeous interior perfectly faithful to original specifications and with no modifications. The car is immaculate on the outside, with its old paint still shining beautifully and with no signs of scratches or dents. Only the three grille bars were repainted, as they were red in the past. Produced in only 200 examples, this "homologation special" is one of the most sought-after cars from the Group B era. It will be sold with its user manual, as well as its original workshop manual.
