Description
"VF3741C66F569758 First series
Recent mechanical costs
French registration
The 205 GTI was born from a succession of bets and good ideas within the Sochal factory. If the 205, which appeared in 1982, was an immediate commercial success that saved Peugeot from a more than shaky financial situation, its GTI version brought together a large number of customers around a passion for sport at a low price. Launched in 1984 with only 105 horsepower under the bonnet, the 205 GTI quickly stole the show from its direct competitor, the Golf I GTI, with its outdated design and basic equipment. The numerous aesthetic elements that equipped the GTI were a reminder of the car's sporty character while remaining discreet, which was appreciated by its owners.
More than 300,000 were produced at a price ranging from 69,000 to 104,000 francs. It was a real success and recently entered the world of collector's cars, enjoying an ever-increasing love affair.
The 205 we present to you was first registered in April 1985, it is a first series equipped with the 1.6L engine developing 105 horsepower. In the hands of the current
current owner for 3 years, it has benefited from numerous mechanical changes made in 2019:
-Replacement of the camshaft
-Replacement of the valve lifters
-Replacement of the timing kit
-Replacement of the water pump
-Ignition and injection adjustment and tuning -Replacement of front brake pads
-Engine oil change
-Oil filter replacement
The driver's seat, in its current "graphite grey" livery with matching fabric interior, shows age-related tears. The whole interior and plastics are in good condition.
A little piece of fun, the 205 GTI has a reputation that is well established; this first version is becoming increasingly rare on the market."
