Engine # 18336

- Rare convertible version
- Beautifully restored
- A technology pioneer
- No reserve

Purchased in 2010 from a collector from South of France who owned it since 1996, this convertible has been restored and features beautiful burgundy paint, beautiful upholstery in grey synthetic leather and a hood in perfect condition. It enjoys the nice finish of the Dyna X, with its aluminum wheel caps, its inscription "Dyna" on the front of the hood and on the handbrake handle as well as accessories on the Bakelite dashboard. According to the owner, this convertible was powered with a more advanced version than the original one, the 610cc flat-twin engine being rather limited. The engine is believed to be from a later model, the PL17. This rather sophisticated engine had interesting features, such as torsion springs for the valve return. The aluminum body was another modern feature, giving the Dyna X a sporty character that would allow it to participate honorably in competitions such as the Rallye Monte-Carlo and the Mille Miglia. As a convertible with four seats, it is particularly rare and attractive, specifically with such a nice quality of restoration.
