The Opel Commodore A Coupé is quite scarce these days. The model was unloved for a long time and simply not worth the cost of a restoration. Fortunately there are people who ignore that sentiment and go ahead and restore an Opel Commodore perfectly. This car was supplied when new on the 8th April 1969 in Sweden. The car reached us via Germany and is exceptional condition. This Commodore has been restored in a way not often seen with this kind of car. The overall effect is totally correct. An extensive photographic album following all of the restoration was kept. Only new parts were used during the process as the accompanying invoices show. In total € 14,500 in parts was spent on the car. The final result is a true feast to behold. The bodywork looks great. The panelwork is nice and thin and correctly aligned. All the brightwork has been replaced with gleaming new ones. The roof has new black vinyl covering and the black bonnet striping has been reapplied. Before the complete new reupholstering took place, sound proofing material was installed, making the cabin a more pleasant place to be in. Only then were the blacks carpets and black vinyl upholstery fitted. The car stands on its original wheels that have been newly shod with correctly sized tyres. The car also has two spotlights and an Abarth exhaust system.

The Commodore Coupé has a straight-six 2.5 litre engine producing 115 Ps and is coupled to the preferred manual 4-speed gearbox. During the restoration the engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes were all overhauled using new parts.

The restoration was completed in 2017 when since then the car has been used sparingly. The is as good as new. In short this is a very rare 1969 Opel Commodore A Coupé with a fantastic finish and in brilliant condition.
