Description

A rarity with history: Oldsmobile — dynamic 76 series 4-door saloon in restored original condition — "matching numbers".
This fully restored 1941 Oldsmobile comes from a family in the United States. All documents, including the old purchase contract, are still available.
At the time of purchase, the vehicle appeared free of corrosion and is currently in immaculate, rust-free condition.
- The paintwork has been restored to its original colour.
- The mechanical parts (engine, transmission, axle and steering components) have been dismantled and overhauled where necessary.
- The braking system has been completely overhauled: the brake lines and linings have been replaced, and the wheel brake cylinders and master cylinder have been overhauled.
- The wiring harness has been replaced and fitted with a fuse box.
- The interior has been fully reupholstered and the carpet has been completely replaced (including in the boot).

The engine runs smoothly and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly.
Unfortunately, a non-original transmission has been fitted as the old one could not be repaired. A four-speed Mercedes automatic gearbox has now been fitted, and it works very well. The original transmission is included.

This is an old car, and it has a small leak underneath which is barely visible.

The vehicle is fully operational and provides much enjoyment to the owner and others alike.

It is recommended to visit the vehicle near Leipzig, Germany before placing a bid. Please contact Catawiki to make an appointment.

Very good condition: minimal signs of wear
