In near new condition, this car displays... just 136 km! A devoted fan of this model, Baudoin Lempereur has owned three. The first two featured special tires, snow and gravel. The third, which we are offering today, has retained its original road equipment.
This car was bought new by our collector in its beautiful black shade (code KH3) but he never used it, which explains the inconsequential mileage and exceptional condition. The original registration documents have been misplaced, and this car with grey interior and some desirable options comes with its duplicate keys.
The GTI-R was the most successful version of the small compact hatchback from Nissan, whose GTI already featured high performance: its 143bhp engine could easily compete with the Clio 16 S or the Golf GTI. However, Nissan had rallying plans, and thus it was necessary to produce at least 5,000 examples of this special version. This was what gave birth to the GTI-R, whose 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo developed 227 bhp in an all-wheel drive configuration. In this version, the little Japanese sprinter reached 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and could get to almost 230 km/h. This version was identified with its additional air intakes and a generous rear spoiler. This is a unique opportunity to go back to 1992 and purchase one of the rare left-hand drive European examples of this real pocket rocket.
