Description
"The ‘Silvia’ name is a variation of the word ‘sylvia’, which is a scientific genus term assigned to a class of birds, possibly a reference to the Bluebird which was in production at the time the Silvia was introduced. The S12 chassis in Europe was badged as a Silvia and available only in the hatchback configuration, few were equipped with a rally package that included a rally foot brace for the navigator, headlamp guards, headlamp dust cleaners, with the same 1.8 litre SOHC Turbo used in North America, and in some areas the 2.0 litre DOHC ‘FJ’ engine. These models equipped with the rally package were dubbed Rally Spec.
This rare and iconic 80’s Nissan Silvia has been family owned from new, the car was purchased new by a gentleman who sadly passed away prior to delivery however his wife continued with the purchase and has owned the car ever since. Presented in very good black coachwork with its typically 80’s contrasting burnt orange trim in great condition, this automatic example is described as drives simply lovely. Still showing its supplying original dealer number plates and having covered a mere 88,000 miles it will be truly hard to find another in this condition with such low ownership. Supplied with a recent MoT test certificate, V5 registration document and similar manual example fetching mid-teens, this looks an enticing opportunity for a potential future investment.
Guide Price £6,000 - £9,000
