Nissan 200SX 1.8 Turbo 16V S13, 1992. Three owners, 39,783 km.
Drift kings, Initial D, and the entire tofu-delivery branch of car culture made sure we only truly started appreciating the Japanese rear-wheel-drive coupé once prices had already gone through the roof. And let's be honest: thirty years ago this was simply an affordable toy for someone who couldn't stretch to a Supra or an RX-7. Today you're talking about an icon. Funny how that works.
The S13 generation of the Nissan 200SX is arguably the purest example of what the Japanese got right in those years: a tidy, sharp coupé with a turbo engine up front, the driven wheels at the back, and in between a chassis that did exactly what you asked of it. No fuss, no electronic nanny locking away your fun, just a manual gearbox and a throttle connected to a CA18DET that lets out a cheerful whistle under boost. For the uninitiated: that's the 1.8 Twin Cam with a Garrett turbo which, in the right hands, generates enough to plaster a broad grin across your face.
In the Netherlands this was the sort of car you dreamed of at eighteen while puttering over the dyke in your rusted-out first motor. I still remember how exotic these things seemed, with those typical early-nineties lines and those pop-up headlights that spring up at night like a startled squirrel. Pop-up headlights, children, were the absolute pinnacle of cool back then. These days the safety rules won't allow them anymore, so cherish what you've got.
The story continues on our website, where the full file is kept as well. 73 photographs. The service history, scanned in full. Paint thickness measured panel by panel. The original factory brochure to page through. A timeline from 26 March 1992 to today, with every owner and the mileage year by year in a single graph.
Every car here follows the same route: first pre-market, then the showroom, and finally the online auction on our own website. What changes is the way you buy, not the location — once a car has arrived, it stays with us in Katwijk. This one is in the showroom and you are welcome to come and see it, no appointment needed. You buy it here at a fixed price: no bidding, no waiting. Our showroom in Katwijk, 30 km from Amsterdam Schiphol, is open Mon–Fri 9–18 and Sat 10–17. Call ahead and it will be standing ready, with someone free for you.
Within the EU no customs duty arises on this purchase. Registration tax and registration costs in your own country are not included. We supply the export documents and assist with the registration. The price shown is the full price for collection in Katwijk. We arrange insured door-to-door transport worldwide, cost quoted per destination beforehand.
Prefer a different colour or specification than this example? Tell us what you are looking for — another Nissan we can often find through our network of marque specialists and collectors, outside the listings. Have one of your own: we buy exceptional cars outright, classic or modern.
